Measuring heart rate at rest or during recovery has never been easier!

The speed and ease of measuring a horse’s heart rate with this handle are particularly useful for endurance riders preparing their horse for a veterinary inspection.

Place the 4HORSE Test Handle against the designated area of the horse’s torso. Within a few seconds, the horse’s heart rate will appear on the Polar receiver display. 

The 4Horse HealthCheck set consists of a Polar FT7 monitor and a TEST HANDLE, also called the HEALTH CHECK handle. Once the heart rate is detected, the reading is displayed in beats per minute. You can take measurements from the ground without fitting a chest strap to the horse.

The 4horse Healthcheck monitor lets you obtain precise information about your horse’s physical condition. Abnormal resting or recovery heart rates can help you detect impending or existing problems such as injury, illness or fatigue. Comparing abnormal readings with those you consider normal can guide you in communicating with your horse.

The set includes a 4HORSE TEST HANDLE with a transmitter and a Polar FT7 wristwatch.

The horse needs to be wetted for heart rate measurement. If it has a winter coat, ultrasound gel is suitable.
