Measuring heart rate at rest or during recovery has never been easier!

The speed and ease of measuring a horse’s heart rate with this handle are particularly useful for endurance riders preparing their horse for a veterinary inspection.

Place Polar against the designated area of the horse’s torso. Within a few seconds, the horse’s heart rate will appear on the Polar receiver display. 

The 4Horse HealthCheck set consists of a Polar FT4 monitor and a TEST HANDLE, also called the HEALTH CHECK handle. Once the heart rate is detected, the reading is displayed in beats per minute. You can take measurements from the ground without fitting a chest strap to the horse.

The set includes a Polar handle with a transmitter and a Polar FT4 wristwatch.

The horse needs to be wetted for heart rate measurement. If it has a winter coat, ultrasound gel is suitable.
